Q2. Why does failure occur in caller identification & blocking function?

■ Check your iOS version

Please update your iOS to latest version (iOS 10.3.3), since there are some bug in previous iOS versions.

Whoscall might be unavailable if you’re using iOS 11 Public Beta.

■ Check your App version

Please update your app to latest version (2.2.5)

Caller ID & Blocking function will be automatically disabled after app updating, make sure to turned on the function after the update.

■ Check  caller identification database and  make sure  those functions are enabled

  1. In Whoscall app -> [Check for updates]-> make sure  your database is latest version.
  2. Setting -> Phone -> Caller blocking & identification -> enable Whoscall

Check whether your iPhone has installed two or more caller ID apps?

Installing other caller ID apps ( Yahoo Mail, LinkedIn, Truecaller, CM Security, etc. ) might cause Whoscall fail.

To enable Whoscall, please try below steps:

  1. Uninstall other caller ID apps
  2. Enter Whoscall app -> “more" page -> “About Whoscall" -> Refresh “Call Blocking & Identification"
  3. After refresh, please try to install database again

If the above steps still fail to solve your problem, maybe resetting the device will solve the issue. If you want to try it, please kindly uninstall Whoscall first, then backup your data and reset iOS system, then install Whoscall again. Even though this method is quite inconvenient, the probability that this method could solve your issue is rather high.

Q3.How to get password for CardDAV?

When Whoscall contacts are updating the offline database, it might cause fail to link to server issue. At this time, please click “Cancel". After the system successfully link to server, this pop up notification will no longer show up anymore. If the notification keeps popping up, please take the following steps to delete it:

  1. Go to your device’s settings ->"General" option->"Profiles"
  2. Find “Whoscall" then tap it, and choose “Delete Profile". All Top Spammers numbers will be removed from your contacts.
  3. Finally, delete “Setting" and “Whoscall" from the multitasking drawer (double tap the “Home" button, and drag those upward) and try to restart your device. If it keeps failing, please try to reinstall Whoscall.
